Parent and Me

"Parent and Me" is a weekly two-hour class designed to introduce toddlers and their parents to the Montessori experience.  It also works as a transition into our regular school.

"Parent and Me"  encourages toddler's independence, confidence, fine motor skills, concentration, respect for others and love of learning. 

Accompanied by their parents, children work with age-appropriate Montessori materials in an environment carefully prepared to be stimulating and fun.  They also participate in group activities such as music, movement, story time, and outdoor play. Children bring lunches; for many, sharing lunch with other children in a group setting is itself novel and exciting.

Currently, our "Parent and Me" program is offered in 10-week sessions to children of ages 20 months and up.  The program runs from 9.30.a.m. to 11.30 a.m. on Saturdays at the Carlton Way campus, and on Thursdays and Fridays at our Berendo site.
